Second Day

First Day

  • Today, I operated a distillation column. We had to open and close a few valves and add power to the reboiler.
  • What did you learn today?
    • Discuss any learning points from today’s activities
  • I learnt how to operate a distillation column and learnt how to find mol and deltaP.
  • How do you feel about today’s activities?
    • Describe how the project has affected your understanding of the discipline and how it may be applied elsewhere
  • Next time when I accidentally mix two liquids together, I know that i would be able to separate them using distillation.

  • Now, I know that distillation can be used to separate liquids and operate a distillation column.
